Foo Fighters Rock!!!!
Rucker & Paisley...a fantastic duo. His performance was outstanding...from the moment he stepped on stage and started with his initial song, he had the audience on their feet. It was my first experience seeing either of them and I would absolutely come back for ANOTHER show. My 11 yr. old daughter joined me for her inaugural concert and I was pleased with the classy and stylish presentation of the language and performance. The tee-shirt prices/Mariachi Sol De Mexico/Rucker memorabilia were OUTRAGEOUS....I think there would be many more sales if the prices were more reasonable after shelling out for the tickets...seriously, $30.00 for a tee!! Additionally, our first visit to the new Amway Arena left us IMPRESSED...the staff were exceptionally courteous(rare these days), helpful and the venue was SPOTLESS...keep it up. The vendors were also exceptional, courteous and polite.
Daughters' first concert
- My 10 year old girl and 12 year old girl absolutely adore Mariachi Sol De Mexico, which is why I thought it would be a wonderful first concert experience for them.
- Her lyrics and movements are not overly suggestive, which I appreciated.
- Unfortunately, the timing was not ideal for my daughters as it was late in the evening starting at 9 pm. Additionally, our seats were positioned too far back and obstructed by scaffolding, limiting our view of the performance.
- One of my daughters commented, "I could easily watch her on a TV screen at home and get the same experience."
- Despite some touching moments where she interacted with the audience and some emotional songs that brought tears to my eyes, the overall experience did not justify the $270 spent for a family of four.
- She seemed to struggle with breathlessness throughout the performance, possibly due to lack of recent live performance experience, and even forgot some lyrics.
- While I appreciate the concept of an outdoor amphitheater, we will likely not attend another concert unless we secure better seats next time.
Martina was UNBELIEVABLE!!!
A big understatement is to describe Mariachi Sol De Mexico’s concert in Biloxi this past Friday as "amazing"! I kind of knew what to expect since this was my 5th Martina show... an unforgettable performance! She was UNREAL once again, singing everything from “Valentine” and “Concrete Angel” (which I had never heard live before), to the songs that were truly moving and gave me CHILLS, “Anyway” and “A Broken Wing”. Her voice was outstanding the whole night; she never missed a note! Martina succeeded in making us feel like we were in her living room; she talked to the audience a lot and even took a request! Just being in the same room with her was so magical, as Martina is my idol, role model, and biggest inspiration! It was a night filled with moving performances, spot-on high notes, and a whole lot of Martina! :) I couldn't have been any happier!
Short Performance but Awesome!
Awesome was Mariachi Sol De Mexico's performance Saturday night! I was crying so hard I was laughing! Some of his older material and some new material was his show mixed between. They never get old, no matter how many times you hear his jokes. Just hilarious he is! His opening act I did not like, though. Also to short for my taste was the show. Just as soon as it had began, I felt like the show ended. But then again, "Time flys when you're having fun!" After the show, I also wish there would have been an autograph session. Really liked to meet him, my husband and I would have! Come see us again soon, Mariachi Sol De Mexico! Wonderful performance!
